El Gouna known for his amazing turquoise waters and wind certainty. Although wind is good during the entire year, you will find best conditions, almost 100% guaranteed during spring until end summer.

In the morning the wind is usually light, and picking up over 20 knots in the afternoon. An amazing feeling to kite in the warm Egypt, with all the water fauna and flora and with some luck also the chance to be kiting in between some dolphins!

El Gouna, in Egypt, is a man-made resort within a short, 30 minutes, transfer of Hurghada Airport on the Red Sea Coast. The town itself was developed with tourists in mind and offers a wide range of activities, restaurants and nightlife set in a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Combined with a range of very good quality hotels El Gouna is an excellent choice for those travelling with families or non-sporting partners.

Beach: The beach is quite clean and sandy. No trees, no rocks, no concrete, no grass, no shells, a lot of space for safely launch and landing. Entry approx. 200m wide. Downwind sun umbrellas and beach chairs.

Weather: Water temperature approx. 20°C in wintertime, 25-28°C in summertime, in the lagoon a bit colder, because the wind cools the flat water. Air in summer 30-35°C, winter 20-25°C.

Featuring a variety of in-resort activities on land and water including a championship 18 hole golf course, a marina, range of shops and variety of options for dining and nightlife, El Gouna offers a peaceful yet varied holiday. You can also visit Luxor or experience the wilderness of the desert on a camel, quad bike or sand buggy - see tours & excursions available from El Gouna. In the evening there is an excellent choice of restaurants to choose from both around the Marine and 'Down Town' area. Kite-surfing on Mangroovy Beach: a modern kite-surfing centre with a perfect infrastructure right on the beach and plenty of sun, wind and water. With its open location it has almost unlimited space and no wind cover from hotel buildings.

KITEPOWER on Mangroovy Beach is the only kiting location in El Gouna and in all of Egypt to offer that rare mixture of a large, protected shallow water area and unhindered access to the open sea. The lagoon gets gradually deeper at a distance of 200 metres from the beach. There are no dangerous spots or corals and you can access the open sea without any risk even when tide goes out. This means you can go kiting from dawn till dusk.
