" El Moli de l' Armentera" is situated in the middle of apple fields in a driving distance of 3 minutes by car. This house ,providing 5 very beautiful and tastefully furnished apartments, is perfect for those who look for a higher standard of self catering accommodation.

It has five fully equipped apartments from 63 m2 until 78m2, are designed for 2 people (with 4 additional people on bunk beds). The lounge-dinning room has two different atmospheres, fireplace, kitchenette (equipped with glass-ceramic cooktop, freezer, dish-washer and microwave oven), bathroom with bathtub and a large attic with double bed and studio. Satellite TV, DVD/CD player and air conditioning system are also included. Also, It has four hectares of garden, swimming pool, restaurant and a wonderful pond.... A privileged location, just by the sea and crossed by the Fluvià river, which also holds a full wealth of culture, with the ruins of Sant Martí d’Empúries and the natural park of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà. A beautiful pool and a very good restaurant are there as well. Prices are between 630 € - 1400 € per week (depending of the season and the choosen appartment)

Kitesurfing

The sea breeze (thermal wind), blows mainly between May / June through to September and is amazingly constant, generally blowing between 12-22 knots side-onshore, from the right.Our 100m-wide sandy beach offers enough space for “stress-free” kite launching. The water in front of the centre is shallow for some 50 meters as there are many sandbanks.

We offer daily kitesurfing instruction from April 16 th 2011.
Courses for all levels are held directly in front of the centre in our private, kitesurfing-only teaching zone.
Our motivated kitesurf staff are all certified IKO and FFVL instructors.
Our international team can provide lessons in Spanish, English, French, German and Dutch.

Skyriders Golf de Roses has its own Authorized Kite-school Zone right in front of the centre. Our lessons are held in a separate area on the beach (and in the water).

Windsurfing

Known worldwide for its perfect windsurfing conditions, the Golf of Roses Bay is ideal for windsurfers from Beginner to Expert Levels. 
The thermal wind blows cross-onshore from the southeast, gradually picking up during the day. 
This means that beginners can enjoy the shallow water area with a light breeze in the mornings. Both kids and adults are taught by our motivated, multilingual, certified instructors. Kids can enjoy the first steps of windsurfing and meet new windsurfing friends of their own age; our small teaching groups (maximum 4) means that children can have a lot of fun together, with plenty of attention from our instructors. 

As a general ruley you can expect the thermal wind (sea breeze) to pick up from 3 – 5 Bft, and good days can even bring a Force 6.
Intermediate and Advanced Level windsurfers can try out the latest equipment from North Sails, Fanatic Team Edition and the Mistral.

When the Tramuntana blows, the conditions are slightly different. This wind comes rushing down from the Pyrenees in the north, usually picking up to between a F5 and F8.
The water state also changes, giving you small waves breaking by the beach and perfect Bump and Jump conditions further out.
If you’ve mastered the waterstart, then you have probably dreamt of these conditions. 4.0 – 5.0m² sails are the most popular sizes and we unleash the wave boards.

Activities

The special conditions of the region provide for different leisure options, such as cycling routes, hiking or horse riding. As far as gastronomy is concerned, there are many interesting places nearby. Museums, art galleries, monuments and other leisure activities (balloon rides, golf, hiking trails, water sports, sport aviation club...) are only a part of the huge offer at hand.

Eating Out:

- " La Lluna" Restaurant / Night bar ( l' Escala) is our favourite. The "headquarter" of all wind- and kitesurfers. Good food , good music, nice garden , good people. Relation price-quality : perfect!
- " L' Horta" Gastronomic Restaurants in Bellcaire ( 5 km from L' Escala). Very good restaurant , typical Catalonian cuisine. High level.
- " La Devesa del Tor" in Tor. 8 km away from l' Escala, Tapas Bar with friendly atmosphere and a crazy decoration!! In You will be surprised. Taste the cocktails.
- " Pizza Pazza" Restaurant in L' Escala ( Riells) , the best Pizzas in Catalunya.
- " Mocambo" in the old town of L' Escala right at the beach. Italian Food and dangerous cocktails. Very Italian spirit.
- Otherwise you will find many seafood restaurants and loads of tapas-bars in L' Escala and close by, L ' Escala is repudiated for its Anchovy Production.

Parties:

- "Morocco" in Playa Montgo ( a part of L' Escala), House music and Terrace, good to start the Party.
- "Rachedingue", 20 km from L' Escala direction Rosas, one of the most famous discos in Europe designed by Salvador Dali himself ( see also his Museum in Figueres). Electro- House.
- "Pacha" in Ampuriabrava, 10 km away from L' Escala, a reference in Club and House music in Spain.
- In L' Escala you will also find the discos " UP6", "Hot", "Tete's".

How to get here :

the closest airport is Girona (45 minutes).
Barcelona is a 1.5 hours drive.

You can take the train until Figuers.

...is not really good. If you don't come by car, we suggest a rental car from the airports or the trainstation in Figueres. There are no public busses which stop close to the camping la Ballena Alegre.
